"Prosperity Requires Liberty"

"Prosperity requires liberty: to be productive we must be free."

Jarret B. Wollstein

The Care Of Human Life

Thomas Jefferson       (1743-1826)

Vladimir Putin On Muslims, Part II

"In Russia, live like Russians. Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants to live in Russia, to work and eat in Russia, it should speak Russian, and should respect the Russian laws. If they prefer Sharia Law, and live the life of Muslim's then we advise them to go to those places where that's the state law.
Russia does not need Muslim minorities. Minorities need Russia, and we will not grant them special privileges, or try to change our laws to fit their desires, no matter how loud they yell 'discrimination'. We will not tolerate disrespect of our Russian culture. We better learn from the suicides of America, England, Holland and France if we are to survive as a nation. The Muslims are taking over those countries and they will not take over Russia. The Russian customs and traditions are not compatible with the lack of culture or the primitive ways of Sharia Law and Muslims. When this honorable legislative body thinks of creating new laws, it should have in mind the Russian national interest first, observing that the Muslim minorities are not Russians. If you keep this to yourself, you are part of the problem!  Accept what is, let go of what was, and have faith in what will be."

The politicians in the Duma gave Putin a five minute standing ovation.

You Go Get You One!

Try some good talk, and not just mock. Quit grudging, it leads you to judging. and vice versa.  Don't be jealous, be zealous.  Come on dude, don't just sit there and brood. Man, "you go get you one!"    RD

Labor Is A Good Thing

Labor is a good thing.

"Labor disgraces no man; unfortunately, you occasionally find men who disgrace labor."
 Ulysses S. Grant(1822-1885)  18th US President

"The tendency of taxation is to create a class of persons who do not labor, to take from those who do labor the produce of that labor, and to give it to those who do not labor."        William Cobbett   (1763-1835) English pamphleteer, farmer, journalist

"Socialism proposes no adequate substitute for the motive of enlightened selfishness that today is at the basis of all human labor and effort, enterprise and new activity."       William Howard Taft   (1857-1930)  27th US President

The right to keep and bear arms

"When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."   Thomas Jefferson
