A Departure From Moral Absolutes

Sometimes our feelings just need to take a hike.  They need to be ignored because they are not in our best interests.  Particularly, if we allow them to pursue and ignite a particular action or actions that can bring us a great deal of grief.  Simply stated, if our feelings involve a violation (s) of moral absolutes, then, do not put those feelings into action.  Let me state just one example; if a man "feels" like a female, desires to dress like one, and just be one, he need not follow through with those feelings.  He can pursue the moral absolutes that for millennia guided us away from the most base conduct.  Moral absolutes/parameters are for everyone.  They help produce peaceful and civilized societies.  Many, many, many things can be achieved.  But their likelihood is greatly diminished because of a departure from moral absolutes.  And to make matters worse, even some of the laws of the land have departed from moral absolutes.  Please realize, that it is not necessary to live under a theocratic form of government for our laws to be guided by moral absolutes.

First Broken Bone

On January 2, 2017, right around noon, I was standing on a ladder attempting to clean some gutters surrounding the roof of my house.  The ladder tipped over, I fell, landed on my left hand, and broke my left wrist.  I am 74 years of age.  I actually thought I could go through life without ever breaking a bone.  Well, as the saying goes: "There is always a first time for everything."  I am inconvenienced, but I am grateful to God.  It could have been a whole lot worse.  Happy New Year!
