If You Want To Make A Better World

If you want to make a better world; make yourself a better person. I am not your judge. I am nobody's judge. It will do me or you no good if I spend a great deal of my time telling you what is wrong with you. If I am an animal ; I have two basic instincts: to survive and to reproduce. If I am a human being; I have within me a certain desire to find a purpose in life. If a horse has no purpose in life, it is euthanized. If a man has no purpose in life, then humanity/ society/ people will need to serve him. Therefore, those who try to help him find a purpose for themselves. In short: a man who is purposeless will create a purpose for someone else (if he can). Someone else, then is doing "good for me". What "I" then need to do is free up that man's time, talent, and resources and do something good for me. Does this mean that I am selfish? No. It means that I am on the road to recovery. If it is truly good for me: it is not illegal, immoral, damaging to me or others. If it is truly good for me, I am becoming a better person. If I become a better person, I have automatically made a better world. If you want to make a better world; make yourself a better person.

The Battle Between Reflection and Focus

Sometimes it is hard to concentrate. Sometimes it is hard to focus because one wants to reflect, remember, rehash, or reexperience. When there are things that need to be attended; attend to them. When focus is required; then focus. When people are depending on you to get a job done; get it done. Do it because you are responsible for doing it. Do it because it is the proper thing to do. Do it because the result will benefit many. Do it for love's sake. But do it.

Things I do not request

Things I do not request are often offered to me. Sometimes those things sound attractive. Sometimes those things are tempting. Sometimes they sound like they might be useful. Sometimes they are alluring, sensual, forbidden and harmful. It makes sense to me that if I want something that I need to have for my well-being I should seek it, find it, and benefit from it. It is possible that I may need something that I do not know that I need. Bearing in mind that I live in a very prosperous nation, whose economic success is predicated on the notion that needs must be met and needs must also be created. For a person/consumer living in this great land, two basic economic needs must be created and satisfied 1) the need for a service 2) the need for a good/product. Eight factors drive our decision to buy or not to buy a good or service: (1)Gender (2)Age (3) Culture (4) Need (5) Desire to buy (6) Ability to buy (7) Taste (8) My moral standard. The reason #8 is a factor is because we are constantly confronted by four economies. As long as the "natural man" exists, there will always be four economies. The four economies are the legal, the illegal, the moral, and the immoral. Of course there is much to explain regarding each economy. It will be dealt with in another entry. I will conclude by stating that not all buying and selling of goods and services that are legal are necessarily moral, and not all buying and selling of goods and services that are moral are necessarily legal. Who defines morality? Only the creator of it. It is not you. It is not me.

Just ask Jesus

I am going to be short and to the point. God answers prayer. "If you shall ask anything in my name I will do it." (Jn. 14:14) It is pretty simple: either you believe the word of God or you don't. What is it you need? Ask God for it. God has a name. His name is Jesus. Ask Him for what you need. But ask in faith. Believe that you will receive it and you will. God bless you.

Anything is Possible?

Many of us have made the statement: "Anything is possible". The statement is inaccurate/incomplete. The statement is inaccurate because it is not true. It is incomplete because it needs "with God" in front of it. Better yet; it needs to be stated: "With God, all things are possible." (Mark 10:27) The word of God is replete with good news. Do you want to receive the desires of your heart? There is a way. "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart". (Ps. 37:4) Unfortunately, too many of us have not or will not be taught to enjoy God. God is willing to show us the way. Just don't let religion get in the way and block the Word of God. " You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fulness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures for evermore". I have two questions: Who is at the right hand of God? Jesus is at the right hand of God. What does the right hand of God mean? It means the power of God. Jesus is the power of God and the wisdom of God. (ICor. 1:24) This is why " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". (Phil. 4:13) Please remember : "With God, all things are possible." Please reject false doctrine.

Be Angry and Sin Not

"Be angry and sin not" is great advice. It can preserve your sanity. It can give you peace. It can prevent you from losing your freedom and possibly your life. It keeps you safe. Getting angry is normal. Does God prevent it? God is in the "converting business". He converts anger into peace, confusion to understanding, foolishness to wisdom, hatred to love, hopelessness to hope and even death into life. Use anger for your benefit. Convert it into something positive, useful and beneficial. Convert your anger from destructive to constructive. Convert it from hurtful to helpful. We can do it with God's help. With Him, nothing is impossible.

humility is best

The Bible teaches us that Jesus "came unto His own, but His own received Him not". The Bible also teaches us that That "He humbled Himself". Humility is best because it was practiced by the best. A greater example of humility does not exist beyond Jesus Christ. Why is it necessary to always have our way? Why is it necessary to always prevail? Please do not misunderstand. I am not implying that we must not do our best. I am not implying that success is wrong. I am stating that a genuine humble attitude is the type of attitude that Jesus has left us as a legacy. He is the greatest example to follow. Humility is Godly because Jesus is God. His plan for the human race cannot be matched, nobody is greater than He is. Nobody is able to do greater things than He did. He conquered death. It is impossible for medical science to ever do that. Jesus has done it. Let us follow His example and we will never die. We will be transformed. We will change. We will be glorified. "Humble yourself before God and He will exalt you in due time".

I Love The Christmas Season

There is no time like it on earth. I feel the Christmas Spirit. I feel like being nicer to people. I feel joy. I have hope. I have love for others. An event is being celebrated." For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called wonderful, counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace". Why shouldn't I be happy? Who can match Him? What can match Him? He is. He is eternal. God is not born. God cannot be "born". God is our saviour. But He was not to do it except through the person of Jesus Christ. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins. A spirit has no blood. God is a spirit. That Spirit became a man. Why? To fulfill the plan of salvation. He had to be born of a woman. But that woman was a virgin. That which was inside of her was of the Holy Ghost (God Himself). It is the greatest story ever told. It is the greatest love story ever told. What makes it great? It is true. It is a true story. It is so powerful that it changed my life, from sadness to joy. From hopelessness to hopefulness, from a purposeless life to a purposeful life, from foolishness to wisdom. From darkness to light. Jesus represents to me, everything that is beautiful. I love Him. I thank God that I can experience the Christmas Spirit all year long. It is not seasonal. It is constant. It is the Holy Spirit in action and where the Holy Spirit is; there is liberty. It is that liberty that causes/inspires me to write these words. There is much more.

The Christmas spirit

The Christmas spirit is an experience many, many people enjoy. It is powerful. Of course it is powerful, it is not about a day or a date. It is about an event. The event is continual. It is eternal. It keeps on giving. It keeps on moving. It is alive. It is the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that caused a young woman who was a virgin to conceive a child. Because of the Holy Spirit we have a savior. These good tidings are tidings of joy. It is a joy that cannot be obtained any other way except through Jesus Christ. It is that joy that is commonly called the Christmas spirit. It does not come from the virgin Mary. It came THROUGH the virgin Mary. She accom-
plished her mission. She must never, never be worshipped. She is not responsible for the Christmas spirit. When you see joy on the face of children, when you feel hope and kindness, and you want to give, share, socialize and celebrate; you are experiencing the Holy Spirit during the Christmas season. You know what it is called.
