Islam And Winston Churchill

"Islam is as dangerous in a man as rabies in a dog.”

Winston Churchill

Two Quotes: Watts and Reagan

"For the past 30 years our nation’s spent $5 trillion trying to erase poverty, and the result, as you know, is that we didn’t get rid of it at all. In fact, we spread it. We destroyed the self-esteem of millions of people, grinding them down in a welfare system that penalizes moms for wanting to marry the father of their children, and penalizes moms for wanting to save money. Friends, that’s not right."-- J. C. Watts, Jr.(1957- ) US Congressman from Oklahoma (R), former quarterback in the Canadian Football LeagueSource: Feb. 5, 1997http://libertytree.ca/quotes/J..C..Watts.Quote.83F8

"The classical Liberal, during the Revolutionary time, was a man who wanted less power for the king and more power for the people. He wanted people to have more say in the running of their lives and he wanted protection for the God-given rights of the people. He did not believe those rights were dispensations granted by the king to the people, he believed that he was born with them. Well, that today is the Conservative."-- Ronald Reagan(1911-2004) 40th US PresidentSource: 1973http://libertytree.ca/quotes/Ronald.Reagan.Quote.20B9

Here Comes September!

September.......you are 6 days away!  You are pretty special to me.  You represent new things.  You represent  new beginnings.  You represent new faces, new places and new experiences.  You represent the Summer taking its last "shots."   Sometimes with a heatwave or two.  But you also represent Autumn.  (at least technically)  Here comes September!   Just like a new chapter of an interesting book!  For some, school has already started.  Books, backpacks, lunches, new clothes,  new friends (probably)) and good times.  Yes.....go ahead and dream!  Students,  have fun!  And if you have just started something new like band, algebra, or tackle football.  Do well!  Work hard! Have fun!

The First Amendment

"The First Amendment was never intended to insulate our public institutions from any mention of God, the Bible or religion. When such insulation occurs, another religion, such as secular humanism, is effectively established."-- Crockett v. SorensonSource:  U.S. District Court stated in Crockett v. Sorenson, W.D. Va,. 1983http://libertytree.ca/quotes/Crockett.v..Sorenson.Quote.DF35
