Improve Yourself

Do you agree that we are always changing? Are we familiar with improvement? Of course we are. We are changing without even realizing it sometimes. If we are changing anyway, why not change for the better? Why not improve, improve and improve? Some might say: "Oh that is just the way I am, why change"? Why change? To improve your life and be someone that can also help improve the quality of life for others. So, what does that do? It makes a better, safer and more interesting life and world. It creates a purposeful life. Improve yourself? Yes. Don't worry about being better or reaching higher levels than others. Take yourself to higher levels. In other words.........be better than yourself. How? By improving yourself.

Massacres, Freedom, Tyranny, And The Gospel

I shall be brief about subjects that need a great deal of explanation. Massacres, freedom, tyranny and the Gospel. Jesus said: "I am the the way the truth and the life, and no man comes unto the Father but by me." Jesus offers eternal life and a purposeful life here on earth. Some people believe it. Some people do not. But to prohibit people from saying that, and much more, is to prevent freedom of expression, the press and speech. Genocide/massacre is another matter. It is evil. It is murder. "Believe my way or die." No. Absolutely not. Nevertheless, freedom is delicate. It cannot be practiced everywhere because of ignorance, tyranny and intolerance. There are people in this world who do not even know what freedom is. Christian missionaries often operate where there is not much freedom. They preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. By doing so, they "bring freedom" with them. "And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:32) Take it or leave it. But if one has the power to prohibit it, (whether legal or not) and that person does, then that person is a tyrant and/or a criminal. Nevertheless, tyranny has never completely stopped the spread of the Gospel.

Freedom Of Speech Continues Anyway

Human and civil rights are fought for. They must be defended. They must never be taken for granted. And it must not be assumed that everyone throughout the world understands or respects them. It is a shame to hear that today, two terrorists/assailants/murderers forced their way into the offices of Charlie Hebdo, a French magazine that specializes in satire, and murdered 12 people. What an atrocity. This is not the defense of religion, it is insanity. Those murdered were writers, editors and cartoonists. It is believed that this is an act of vengeance because Charlie Hebdo had published a caricature of the Prophet Mohammed in 2011. I believe this: If you do not like what is printed or published in a magazine or newspaper, contact them and let them know what you think of what they have published. This is what is usually done among civilized and reasonable people. One must not murder because he disagrees. Freedom can be costly, particularly freedom of the press. It must continue anyway. It must. And murderers must be brought to justice. This is how civilized society operates.

Not Under The Purview Of Law

Is it against the law to disagree with someone's lifestyle? Is it against the law to have a point of view that is traditional? Is it against the law to practice freedom? Is it against the law to be rude or disrespectful? Am I correct in assuming that the law does not need to be involved in everything that we do? I am free. However, I have no guarantee that all people will agree with me, or be kind to me. If I greet someone in the street, are they under any obligation, by law, to return my greeting? Of course not. Kindness, courtesy and respect do not fall under the authority of the law. They may be connected to law. They may even inspire certain laws. However, they are not under the purview of law. They are under the purview of upbringing, morality and civilization. They are not under the purview of law.

What We "Feel" ?

What we "feel" is definitely not always who we are. We can "feel" many things, but we best not act on all of them because we may find ourselves in serious trouble, maybe even in prison.(in more ways than one) Satan's purpose is to "steal, kill and destroy." This is what he does. The evidence is all around us. However, mentioning these things may not always be politically correct. God did not call us to be politically correct. He called us to love Him and to love others. So if a man "feels" like a horse, dog or cat, (or any other animal) this does not make him that. If a man "feels" like a woman, this does not make him a woman. Even if he decides to become one. A man can never be a woman if he was born a man. Am I going to be upset if someone does not agree with me? No, not upset, just disappointed. I also realize that not everyone agrees with the Bible. The Bible is the Word of God. It must be spiritually discerned. Someone asked: "Hey, I thought I had free will, I do, don't I?" Yes, we all make choices. Do our choices have consequences or do they not? There is much more.
