"Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Death"

On this day, 226 years ago, at St. John's Church in Richmond, Virginia, Patrick Henry presented his famous oration which included the words: "I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death." The irony of this is that it was declared in a church. Recently, in the City of National City, CA, the Mayor held his state of the City address/presentation. He was criticized by some, for holding the function in a large church to accomodate the public. I say this: If it was good enough for Patrick Henry, it is good enough for Mayor Ron Morrison.
