Islam And Winston Churchill

"Islam is as dangerous in a man as rabies in a dog.”

Winston Churchill

Two Quotes: Watts and Reagan

"For the past 30 years our nation’s spent $5 trillion trying to erase poverty, and the result, as you know, is that we didn’t get rid of it at all. In fact, we spread it. We destroyed the self-esteem of millions of people, grinding them down in a welfare system that penalizes moms for wanting to marry the father of their children, and penalizes moms for wanting to save money. Friends, that’s not right."-- J. C. Watts, Jr.(1957- ) US Congressman from Oklahoma (R), former quarterback in the Canadian Football LeagueSource: Feb. 5, 1997http://libertytree.ca/quotes/J..C..Watts.Quote.83F8

"The classical Liberal, during the Revolutionary time, was a man who wanted less power for the king and more power for the people. He wanted people to have more say in the running of their lives and he wanted protection for the God-given rights of the people. He did not believe those rights were dispensations granted by the king to the people, he believed that he was born with them. Well, that today is the Conservative."-- Ronald Reagan(1911-2004) 40th US PresidentSource: 1973http://libertytree.ca/quotes/Ronald.Reagan.Quote.20B9

Here Comes September!

September.......you are 6 days away!  You are pretty special to me.  You represent new things.  You represent  new beginnings.  You represent new faces, new places and new experiences.  You represent the Summer taking its last "shots."   Sometimes with a heatwave or two.  But you also represent Autumn.  (at least technically)  Here comes September!   Just like a new chapter of an interesting book!  For some, school has already started.  Books, backpacks, lunches, new clothes,  new friends (probably)) and good times.  Yes.....go ahead and dream!  Students,  have fun!  And if you have just started something new like band, algebra, or tackle football.  Do well!  Work hard! Have fun!

The First Amendment

"The First Amendment was never intended to insulate our public institutions from any mention of God, the Bible or religion. When such insulation occurs, another religion, such as secular humanism, is effectively established."-- Crockett v. SorensonSource:  U.S. District Court stated in Crockett v. Sorenson, W.D. Va,. 1983http://libertytree.ca/quotes/Crockett.v..Sorenson.Quote.DF35

Celebrate Freedom, Don't Be A Fool

Today, I celebrate freedom.  Yes, I am free.  I am not free to break the laws of the land, if I do break the law, I must pay the price.  Obedience to the laws of the land is for me a guarantee of freedom.  I will continue to celebrate freedom by continuing to pursue my goals, aspirations and dreams.  I am not a young man.  Nevertheless, I enjoy freedom.  I cherish freedom.  My wants and desires are not complicated.  I pursue what I want. Yes, I have moral parameters.  How else can I live?  I am not a lower animal.  I am a human being.  My wants and desires are different than that of a cat or a dog.  I have nothing against the word "training."  To "train" children is a positive thing.  To train a dog is a positive thing.  To train a soldier is also a positive thing.  Training is good.  Guidelines are good.  Parameters and boundaries are good.  They are beneficial.  They preserve life.  I see them as "freedom producers."  I see them as "do what you want to do."   How can I do what I want to do if I am not safe?  How can I be free if I feel threatened?  I am not free if I am full of fear.  I am free to practice my freedom.  However, I am not free to be a fool.
If I become a fool, I lose my freedom.   If one becomes a fool, one  may lose much more than freedom.   Refuse to be a fool. There is too much at stake.  Foolishness is a "freedom  thief."
One more thing:  Pride can very often, produce foolishness.  Foolishness and pride are siblings.

Just Be Humble

Do great things.  Just be humble.  I know it is not always easy, but good things do not always come easy.  Do your best to be  humble.  It represents greatness.  It seems ironic.  However,  I truly believe that greatness produces humility and humility produces greatness  Genuine humility is a great thing.  Go ahead.......do great things.  Let your great works speak for themselves.  Glory comes.  Don't chase it.  Don't brag about anything.  Be a humble person.    Just be humble.  Go ahead.......do great things.  Just be humble.  Make it a high priority.  Just be humble.  Work, create, endure, produce, compete, surpass, excel.  Work hard!  Come out on top!  Just be humble.  Glory will come.  There is no need to chase it.  Just be humble.

Two Letters to Disqus

So......what is your point, Mr. Peep?  Israel must fight for survival. God is helping them. That is
just the way it is. You say: "I am an atheist." Why? Everything that has been created has a creator. Everything built has a builder. All things manufactured have a manufacturer. It is foolish not to believe in God.  "The fool has said in his heart, there is no God." (Psalm 14:1 and 53:1)
What do you think about Jesus?   Is He the Son of God? (God manifested in the flesh)

I am unwilling to argue with performance. I am unwilling to deny accomplishment. It is what it is. God does things the way He chooses to do them. He chose a people for Himself. (He needed to start somewhere) I am not a Jew. I refuse to hate a Jew. I refuse to hate anyone. If I have ambitions/dreams, and they go unfulfilled. Generally speaking, I have myself to blame, and only myself. Is there a substitute for hard work and determination? Is there a substitute for faith in, love for, and obedience to, the almighty God? Is there a substitute for the Word of God?
